Want to start using Bannerflow to boost revenue or performance of your onsite promotional areas? Contact your Customer Success Manager today to find out more!

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a website with dynamic content, scheduled changes of content, A/B test designs and update effortlessly. Then you should consider using Bannerflow creatives on your website! Use Bannerflow's feeds, schedules, real-time updating, versioning, auto-optimisation and scaling tools to have full control over how your products are displayed on your website. But before you start, here are some things you should know.

Set up the custom domain

For everyone that wants to advertise on their own website using Bannerflow creatives we can help set up a custom domain. This means that it will look like the creatives are hosted on your website, while they are actually still hosted by us. Once it looks like they are hosted on your website, ad blockers will not block them.

  1. Contact your Customer success manager and let them know that you want to advertise on your own website and that you want to set up a custom domain for that. Decide what domain (usually a subdomain) you want to use for the onsite banners.
👉 Please note: We highly recommend that the domain that you choose to use is not going to be blocked by Ad blocker software. For example avoid marketing or advertising language such as promo.domain.com.

  2. Set up a CNAME in your DNS and point it to this URL: target.bf-cname-adsrv.net

  3. Send the domain to your Customer success manager.

Once that has been done we'll then complete the setup on our end. Done!

Publish to your own website in Bannerflow

Once the custom domain has been set up on your account, you will have a new publishing option available on your account.

When publishing to your own website you will use the script tags generated in Bannerflow.

Since we host the ads, you still have the possibility to update them from Bannerflow without having to publish again.

It is also possible to publish static images to your site from Bannerflow, where the workflow would work the same way.
