When you manage your existing schedules you will do it from the calendar view instead of the wizard.

Managing scheduled Banner sets

Later on you might want to add more banner sets to your schedule. In the calendar view to the right you can see a list of all the banner sets on your account. Simply find the banner set that you want to add to your schedule and drag and drop it to the calendar.

Then to manage how banner sets should be scheduled isn't harder than moving the banner sets around in the calendar. To adjust the time frame for a banner set, simply click and drag the end of the banner set you wish to adjust.

If you need to specify a more specific date/time, start by clicking on the the banner set and then click on Settings.

From there you can specify the date and specific time (down to quarters of an hour).

In the same dialog it’s also possible to add some other functionality to your banner set. You are able to add repeating events to make your banner set display repeatedly every weekend for example. You can activate and paus the scheduled banner set and also weigh multiple banner sets that are running simultaneously against each other. For example, if you set the weight of Banner set 1 to 1 and Banner set 2 to 2 then Banner set 2 will potentially be displayed twice as much as Banner set 1. The Override setting simply overrides any other banner sets that are running simultaneously in the schedule.

To the right of the calendar view, it’s also possible to add more placeholders to the schedule. Simply click the Add placeholder(s) button. Learn how a placeholder works here 🔗.

👉 Please note: If you publish a schedule with placeholders that doesn’t exist in your scheduled banner sets or isn’t covered by your back up banner set, the placeholder will render nothing.

Click the cogwheel next to the save button to access the schedule settings.

From the setting you can change name, add labels (to be able to search for it), change the backup banner set and add a time zone. We have talked about the importance of having a good backup banner set before, but it’s worth mentioning it again. What is generally recommended is to setup a backup banner set which will act as a backup when none of the scheduled banner sets can fill a given placeholder at any point in time. The backup banner set is usually designated to just be a backup so in general terms have a more generic banner design and have all formats and languages that you use throughout your banner sets, solely so that everything is backed up.

Previewing the schedule

The schedule can be previewed at any time by either clicking on the preview button for each respective placeholder in the list of placeholders or by clicking on Preview just above the banner set in the calendar.

When clicking preview, the preview popover will appear. Use the slider to preview which banner will be shown on which day. You will also see when the back up banner set will be used. This will help you understand how your schedule will actually play out.

If you click in the date you can even specify a certain time on the selected day.
