Google Analytics is a widely used statistic web-application provided by Google and can of course be used to track your banners' click-through rate.

You can get help with building your Google Analytics URL here:
https://ga-dev-tools.appspot.com/campaign-url-builder/

Start of by going to the campaign you want to use Google Analytics for. Now, there are two options to add your Google Analytics tracking.

Option 1 ☝️

Set the Google Analytics URL on a text version by clicking on Edit inside a version.

Then insert the Google Analytics URL into the Target URL field.

Option 2 ✌️

Set the Google Analytics URL by entering it as a Custom Target URL when publishing and exporting your Banner tags.

Here is how the end result for a banner embed code could look like when the Google Analytics tracking URL is in use:

<script src='//embed.bannerflow.com/537dde06ed2f4402d0a96ade?targeturl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bannerflow.com%3Futm_source%3Dbannerflow%26utm_medium%3Dbanner%26utm_campaign%3Dguide'></script>

👉  Please note that it make take some time until the clicks are registered in your Google Analytics account under Acquisition → Campaigns

Please note that this may or may not cause some conflicts if it's used with other external networks due to how the link hierarchy works. Read more on linking here:

Troubleshooting and possible discrepancies 🔍

1. All tracked clicks with Google Analytics will be listed in Acquisition > Campaign name(that is specified in the utm parameters), so if the utm_campaign would be different for different banners then the recorded clicks would be separate.

2. All tracked clicks are recorded with a timespan for sessions, each visitor is accounted for one session based on the Session timeout, see image below:
(Admin > Property > Tracking info > Sessions settings)
